Midshipmen OR-2 or OR-4 edit

The Royal Danish Navy's official web site Insignia Petty Officers & Insignia Privates states that Marinespecialist (Able Rating, Specialist) is OR-3 and Korporal (Midshipman) is only OR-2. Is that common for all three services? --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 00:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm rather sure that the website is wrong, but have started a little inquery amongst those whom posses more knowledge than me. In regards to the other services, this article (in danish), about the new corporals in the army, explains that the corporals are picked amongst 'overkonstablerne' (OR-2's and OR-3's), then given some education ('voksenundervisningsuddannelse modul 1') before they are commisioned as corporals. --Hebster (talk) 13:57, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I hope that involves the Web Master of forsvaret.dk's English edition. It could use some updating. --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 17:07, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Other ranks, DenmarkOther ranks (Denmark) – The "Denmark" portion of the article title is a disambiguator used to distinguish this article from articles about other ranks in other countries. The comma format is normally used only for geographical places and this article isn't one Thryduulf (talk) 15:11, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. The current title suggests Other ranks is a place in Denmark. --B2C 22:46, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Merge to Other Ranks if the Danish forces actually even use the term "other ranks". No need for a separate article at all. Other ranks is a generic term. At the moment it refers only to the Commonwealth, but there's no reason why it should. However, there's no interwiki to Danish Wikipedia. If they don't use the term then it should be at the term they do use or a generic term such as Non-commissioned ranks of Danish Defence. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:16, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
