The USAF officer rank insignia needs some work as the badges of rank are not uniformly scaled. Are they normally worn on an epaulatte? If so, perhaps this should be included as the background image. 88.105.136.215 19:27, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

The underlying colour for the epaulettes of German Luftwaffe ranks from Fahnenjunker to Oberst are wrong. The colour is yellow to gold, also on the Luftwaffe insignias on the collar. Only Generals and officers (Major, Oberstleutnant, Oberst) of the general staff (Generalstabsoffiziere) have red as the underlying colour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.86.55.171 (talk) 11:53, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Use of NATO Codes as row separators

User:Cool Cat reverted the insertion of NATO Codes as row separators on the basis that it looked really bad. Whilst I don't think that it looked really bad, it probably left a little to be desired aesthetically. However, I think that there is a stronger principle that appearence which is relevant, namely the easy with which one gets hold of information. Put another way, people read encyclopedias to learn, not because they're pretty. As it stands, if a reader wants to know the NATO rank code for an air force rank in the middle of the table they will have to scroll up or down and be careful not to lose their place. I plan to re-insert the row separators, not on the basis that it will make the article perfect, just better. If anyone has a better idea about how to convey the same information and make it look better then fire away ... Greenshed 23:15, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Help with lines

Ok, maybe it is just me, but the horizontal line between ITA and LUX does not go all the way to the left of the table. The WP:Wikignome in me tried to fix it, but failed. Let me know if 1) I'm crazy, B) it can be fixed or 3) Both :) — MrDolomite | Talk 16:51, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Australia?

Their uniforms and insignia are very similar to the RAF, but why is the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) included here? Australia is not a member of NATO, though of course they are allied with many NATO nations through treaty and Commonwealth membership.--MarshallStack (talk) 03:44, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

German insignia

German insignia shown in the article are not specific to air force. Instead, camouflage uniform insignia are displayed here. (I think the official insignia are similiar to the army but with a greyish blue background.
