A fact from Randy Roth appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 15 May 2011 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Randy Roth was convicted of faking a boating accident in order to cover up the murder of his fourth wife?

I'm glad to see this created - I just finished reading Anne Rule's book. For the sake of a more coherent narrative, I think this article should include information on the wives/girlfriends Roth didn't (allegedly) kill - off the top of my head, I think there were at least two other wives (#1, before Janis, #3, between Janis and Cynthia? maybe?), plus a girlfriend who was broken up with when he discovered that she was uninsurable. And then of course the teenager he seduced. Beeblebrox, is that part of your to-do list for this article, or should I see if I can dig out my copy of the book tonight and draft something up? A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 18:21, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
It is on my mind to add that material at some point, but I'm not sure when I'll be doing it. I also just finished the book so I knocked together what you see here while it was still fresh in my mind. The Seattle Times is also a good resource, they covered the trial in depth and they actually have articles from that far back on line. I'm wondering if anyone out there has read the other book, the review I saw of it said it went into much more detail about his early life, which is another area not really covered much here. Randy and I dated for nearly 2 years I ended it in January 2022. He has not changed he’s just like he was back in the day he’s very controlling, manipulating. He proposed to me after talking with each other for one week I actually still have the ring that he sent me. I was not allowed to wear certain things when I went out in public, or to the lake. I had to send him pictures anytime I went anywhere so he could see who was there and who I was around. And if I did not answer his calls, every time he called, then there was hell to pay. He is pretty much Chad to just manipulate everyone around him. he got married a couple years before we met. They lasted for one month and then he filed for divorce. I’m not sure what all of that was about but she was from up in Pennsylvania. Whenever he asked me to marry him, I end up having to get all his marriage certificates all of the death certificates his birth certificates everything just so and I could possibly get married, but then I backed out at the last moment I really did not want to marry someone who was controlling and manipulating like that. I deserve better than that in life and so does any other woman. 2600:6C60:5BF0:8BE0:7185:118F:4337:1E94 (talk) 04:22, 4 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
