New Public Schools in Rancho Mirage approved!
editAccording to the Desert Sun newspaper on January 16, 2007, the city of Rancho Mirage approved the site for Rancho Mirage High School on 30th Avenue and Da Vall Drive, despite many residents objected to the ruling could appeal and relocate the site to a less crowded place. A future Middle School and Elementary School will get under way by 2009 or 2010, yet hasn't announced a site due to other battles with nearby land owners and residents opposed to construction may alter their properties' scenic views. The city had the private Palm Valley School known for high-quality education and Maywood Academy is an academic rival competes in the local demand for better schools, plus the Saint Xavier Catholic Preparatory Academy and Xavier College Preparatory High School (California), a private multi-grade school complex in nearby Thousand Palms are worth noting. + 63.3.14.1 04:38, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Developmental Football International (DFI)
editA new sports (American or gridiron football) league, the DFI places Rancho Mirage on the sports map and soon in the early 2020s, there will be a 12,000-seat sports arena in nearby Palm Desert, California. The DFI office is in Rancho Mirage and a local football team, the So Cal Coyotes play in both Rancho Mirage High School and Shadow Hills High School (Indio, California) football stadiums. The DFI has 3 other teams in southern California and 4 in the East Coast centered within a 100 mile radius of Washington DC (DFI's east coast office). - I have searched for references, looked at the SoCal Coyotes website, Developmental Football International (DFI) website and local press and can not verify this is happening. Do you have a reference? P37307 (talk) 16:27, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- I guess the resource isn't verifiable enough, but thanks for your reply. The DFI might have suspended operations, this is their first season. 12.218.47.123 (talk) 16:20, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- Don't give up hope yet. I am still searching. I found something about the Coachella Sports and Entertainment Stadium Authority and what you posted would be built in Thousand Palms. (https://www.desertsun.com/story/news/2018/07/18/plan-calls-12-000-seat-indoor-stadium-and-sports-complex-thousand-palms/794592002/) I'll do more research. History section needs more historical information
editAll of the information in the History section is valuable, but there is a good portion of it (such as an upcoming housing development – which is noteworthy but hardly historic) that would be more appropriate in the Economy or some other section. Similarly, golf courses and casinos might fit better under Recreation. 1980fast (talk) 04:53, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
