I'm pretty sure he had 7 kills. List of Israeli flying aces gives 8. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hydromania (talkcontribs) 03:54, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Should either be Ran Ronen or Ran Pekker (which the Hebrew wiki rolls with) - we should specify the alternative surname in the body. Icewhiz (talk) 11:30, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Most English publications I believe include both names. Ronen-peker, (pekker) ronen, or some variation.
If we're sticking with one of them, Ronen is used significantly more than Pekker in English publications. Hydromania (talk) 17:08, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
That I would title it Ran Ronen, and have a redirect from Ran Pekker to Ronen. Have the alt in bold in the first sentence (unless I'm contradicting some MOS guideline). Note I also see Ran Pecker as a fairly common spelling in English - see gBooks search, e.g. the book for instance. In my own mind he is Pecker/Pekker and not Ronen - but I'm contaminated by non-English sources here.Icewhiz (talk) 17:15, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
According to this source (Israeli Channel 10 - should be reliable) he was presented as "Ran Ronen" on the History channel due to the slang usage of "Pecker" in English.... Which does make sense, actually. Icewhiz (talk) 17:18, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
That does make sense (although the link you posted just redirects me to arutz eser homepage). I'll just reiterate that I think keeping some variation of both names in the title makes sense, many sources use both.

If we are doing only one it'll be Ronen. Ehud Yonay uses Ronen in his book, Jonathan Cordis' translation of Eliezer Cohen's book uses Ronen, the LA Times used Ronen throughout his term as consul genral etc. Etc. (I am aware that the Hebrew page uses Peker) Hydromania (talk) 20:20, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
