Further copyright infringement removed
editCopyrighted text was introduced to this article in 2005. Following this cleanup, this article retained considerable language and syntax from the copyrighted source [1].
- "Lamba had only...signalled for a helmet." is a verbatim paste.
- "...as a key figure in the revival of interest in the game there...to his Indian friends. " retains, without attribution or quotation marks, text from the original.
- "...banned for ten months...stump in the 1990-91 Duleep Trophy final" is taken verbatim without quotation marks or attribution ("brandishing a stump" is undeniably creative speech)
- The entire paragraph "Critics also pointed...test team" was taken from the obituary, as were the two paragraphs beginning "He did, however, establish a lasting rapport..."
Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:09, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
"Death" passage
editThis passage is factually wrong. There have been several accounts of people dying in the cricket field before, from being hit by a ball or several other reasons. The rest of that chapter seems to better be titled "funeral" and worded accordingly. Skuckem (talk) 20:51, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
