Talk:Ralph Mackin

This article was recently moved from "Ralph and Mrs. Mackin" to "Ralph Mackin", with the reason in part, "tradition dictates articles named for just one person". Is there a policy on this? What about all the articles in Category:Multiple people? (It was and still is in the Category:Married couples, which is a descendant).

The recorded information on the Mackins is very similar, suggesting a single article for the two of them, as we currently still have. Yet Mrs. Mackin is just as significant as Ralph, even though her name is not preserved in the sources I've read so far. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 23:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm just a passing cleaner, so I'm not going to edit-war if you move it back or anything; but it seems very bad style to have "Mrs. Mackin" as the title, if we don't even know her given name - I'd suggest the article just be labelled after her husband, and give equal attention to both of them.
