Prompt about copyediting article

I received a prompt asking if I was interested in copyediting this article. I'm not sure I want to tackle this long article at this time. Done right, it should be printed out to allow standard editing practices with scribbles, crossouts and arrowsheads. I may try sometime, but not until after the new year. The first obvous change for me would be a short, clear and concise introductory paragraph. The current intro is four long paragraphs with details that are repeated in later sections. Check out the Manual of Style and look for the "Writing better articles" link under Related policies and guideline. Minor tweaking of headings and sections may be in order for consistency. Major rewrites of the paragraphs themselves may not really be needed. It has no lack of information, but not in terrible shape.Kearsarge03216 (talk) 06:20, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

I cleaned up the language and grammar considerably in this article. On occasion, there's a lot of redundant verbiage, which serves to make things unclear, and at best, clunky. I think the fundamental problem, however, is the citation of reviews. If all the reviews point in one direction, four of five examples aren't necessary, and start to detract from the article. Fundamentally, this should be an article about Bakshi as a person (in short, a bio article), not an in-depth article about works of his that already have articles. Therefore, I think this still needs to be shortened, probably by summarizing review content and pointing to the relevant articles instead of trying to get everything in one place. Culhane query

Did Bakshi really replace Shamus Culhane twice in 1967--first at Paramount, then again at Grantray-Lawrence? The Michael Barrier article cited in both cases doesn't mention Culhane at all. Ibaranoff, please check your book sources to confirm this. If Baskshi did indeed replace Culhane twice, the second sentence needs to be recast to acknowledge the fact, along these lines: "Steve Krantz employed Bakshi (once again, to replace Shamus Culhane) at Grantray-Lawrence Animation". Alleged use of gravitational lenses in "Fritz the Cat" by Ralph Bakshi.

User Ibaranoff24 added a reference on 27 June 2009 to the alleged use by Bakshi of gravitational lenses. These lenses are a large-scale astronomical phenomenon, not a photographic device. I propose to delete the reference to gravitational lens unless a verifiable citation is provided within the article showing that it is also a tool used in the film industry.

Stop watching Ralph Baskhi films.

This section is about Ralph Bakshi and his clan. I wont even watch his filth because of the racist stereotypes, people showing privates etc. Bakshi claims his Coonskin combats racism when in reality it is racist and entices racism. The man, his clan and their films are pure evil, not good in any shape or film. They have contracted viewers which makes it a serious concern. Their films have racist, sexual stereotypes, content etc. Even the Lord of the rings franchise has been contamited with Bakshis filth and lies, his goal is clearly to make all women, black people etc look like a bunch of non-human freaks and destroy and warp innocent minds which we need to protect and save!!!!!
