We don't have any sources about who she has been linked to. So we should remove that entire section. That's all conjecture anyways. That does not belong on Wikipedia.
The Trivia Section does not belong in sTANLEY AND cRISTAL.

editI am adding back the external links section, seeing as decent external links can provide a good source of information to those who want to learn more about the topic covered. Please do not remove them.--Haley 00:26, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Haley de Lioncourt
only 40000?
editActually the wikipedia articles about Nanjing and the Massacre of Nanjing state that the Chinese claim that 300000 non-combatants were murdered by the Japanese. So there's something wrong with this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.37.166.68 (talk) 19:48, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, when the person told her about the massacre, they probably didn't really recall an exact figure off the top of their head. The key point in the paragraph is that Yang seemed surprised at the paucity of casualities, which is what got people angry. You can add a note that the actual number of casualties is closer to 300,000, as you stated, if you provide a reference and whatnot. Pandacomics (talk) 21:59, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- I could not find evidence of Rainie Yang ever talking about Nanjing. If you have respectable sources stating she actually said it please do share. Otherwise we should not attribute the statement to her. Here are three sources stating she did not make the Nanjing statement, all in simplified Chinese.
- The first is an interview with sina.com. The second is a forum posting of a comprehensive overview of the incident with video footage. The third cites an article in Apply Daily.

- Only the first is citable, although the other two provide strong circumstantial evidence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stone321 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I have no idea how to add a reference to the text and this is why I won't edit the main text. But here is the picture of the actual Memorial Hall for the victims of the massacre IN Nanjing, IN China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Nj06.jpg). And here is a reference (http://www.csmonitor.com/2001/0820/p1s3-woap.html). I was surprised because a smaller number would actually support the Japanese side of the debate (The Japanese basically claim that there was no massacre), while a larger number supports the Chinese side, so unless Rainie Yang made it look like not enough people died for her tastes, the reactions in mainland China had probably no other reason than the fact that she's Taiwanese, and would have probably occured regardless of what she said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.124.35.173 (talk) 23:49, 24 November 2008 (UTC) And i do not notice ANY source for the claim that she said "only 40000". Some sources (for example http://zonaeuropa.com/20060612_1.htm and http://www.soompi.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t5700-600.html) claim that she didn't know the answer and upon hearing that it was actually 300000 she said something to the effect of "that's a lot" something like "as little as 300000". I really believe that the 40000 number has to disappear from the article. The truth is that whatever the number there WAS a massacre at Nanjing, there WAS an attack at Pearl Harbour etc. And at Nanjing the people that died, even if not 300 000, were certainly more tahn 200 000. Denying genocide is akin to doing it again. As you can see, my perspective isn't really NPOV. So I won't edit the article. But it needs editing as no source says anything about 40000 casualties in this context. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.124.35.173 (talk) 00:07, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
