Controversy? edit
I've renamed the section as "controversy" seems rather off. Most of the numbered points there are rather vague and seems to need rewriting. However I don't have access to the full text of the cited paper: Metz, Robert, Why not raindrop impressions?, Journal of Sedimentary Research March 1, 1981 vol. 51 no. 1 265-268, but the abstract implies nothing about a controversy.
