This article edit

Is not a main article - and a list with so many red links should not be considered as such - please note that such articles - even if they are in effect lists need WP:RS as well SatuSuro 14:18, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Confusing template edit

I added the Template:Confusing because I found the article difficult to follow as the content of the section “Stations served” does not line up with the Route map on the right side of the page. I would suggest two options for the reformatting of the content of the section “Stations served”. Firstly, the list is converted into a table based on the layout of the rail system and which has columns for the characteristics describing a station’s status (i.e. “Existing”, “Proposed”, “Dormant”, “Removed”, “Closed sidings” and “Limited operations”) as well as other information such as geographical coordinates (which I have started to add). Secondly, divide up the section into sub-sections for each branch line (both existing and non-existing) with a collection of paragraphs describing each station (regardless of status). Merge suggestion edit

The Railway stations on the Eyre Peninsula article is a list of largely non-notable railway sidings with grain silos. The cites are only maps confirming co-ordinates. All of the information is already contained in this article and Template:Eyre Peninsula railway, propose Railway stations on the Eyre Peninsula article be redirected here. Agree. Remnark (talk) 08:05, 2 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oppose for the moment. I have re-written it to bring it up to date. Quite likely it can be comfortably blended with the Eyre Peninsula Railway article, which I have enlarged significantly; I'll do that in about 2 weeks and see what you think. SCHolar44 (talk) 23:56, 30 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Upgrade completed, except for a photo of an Eyre Peninsula silo and loading of gypsum, for which I'm currently arranging CC licensing. As mentioned above, I would prefer to complete my upgrade of "Eyre Peninsula Railway" before looking at combining them — I need to look at the balance (and combined length). Sorry, I dropped the ball here, including finalising consents for two silo and wheat handling images, which were automatically deleted (now fixed, restored today — gypsum still eluding me, but I'll get there). In view of the recent abandonment of all but the Kevin–Thevenard line, it would be good if someone versed in route-map coding could update the route map at Template:Eyre Peninsula railway and add it to the article. One thought, though: the route map only shows 31 stations, whereas the list set out in the List of stations has 107. Maybe just head the map "Significant stations on the Eyre Peninsula railway"?
The article has now gone beyond the stub stage and is fairly self-contained; I suggest it not be merged until we can see how it fits with the Eyre Peninsula Railway article, for which I'll give priority to my major upgrading. Promise!  ;-) --SCHolar44 (talk) 01:11, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
SCHolar44. I cannot see any reason for them not being merged eventually. Looks like you have done some good work. I would support the merge happening whenever you can get to it. Aoziwe (talk) 10:16, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Oppose merge. The stations article is quite decent and provides helpful information without bloating the railway article. The Drover's Wife (talk) 10:20, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
