Rail gauge in this article edit

This article is somewhat fuzzy as to what is 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+38 in) and what is 600 mm (1 ft 11+58 in). Also the English is, well..., a bit shaky. Peter Horn 00:21, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Or 500 mm (19+34 in) Peter Horn 03:46, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Not to mention it doesn't even seriously discuss rail transport in post-colonial Morocco. Elostirion (talk) 04:51, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Tiny bit late with the reaction, but if you have complaints about the English, why not correct in in stead of mentioning it here....Tonkie (talk) 20:57, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Moved Content edit

I have moved most of the content to History of rail transport in Morocco as it was entirely regarding the colonial era, and was far too bloated for an article on rail transport in Morocco in general. If you have any questions or objections please discuss this with me on my talk page before reverting. Elostirion (talk) 23:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Med Port edit

The map seems to suggest that the new railway between Tangier and Tangier Med-Port has now opened. Can anyone confirm this? It is not mentioned either in this article or the ONCF article, but it ought to be. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 04:03, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

@Timothy: The ONCF.MA time-tables have no entry for the railway station Tanger Med, that is a strong indication that it hasn't been opened for passenger transport. There is however a press-release on their site mentioning freight-trains from the Renault factory at/near Tanger MED: see First train of cars from the Renault factory at Tangier Med. Hope this info is of help. Tonkie (talk) 21:07, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
And as an addition to that, this page (bottom part) suggests that the route Tanger-Tanger Med is not operational as it says something like "it will offer" (French isn't my strongest language and any Arabic source won't help me much either). Tonkie (talk) 22:10, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Only passenger network discussed edit

The article Rail transport in Morocco only talks about the passenger network. For more information about the freight network best source for now is the History of rail transport in Morocco. I'm hoping to add some current information about freight operations on the main article, but don't have the time nor enough checkable data at this moment to make a useful contribution to that. But it is quite high up my "todo" list for Wiki Tonkie (talk) 21:14, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Loading gauge edit

Do the high speed trains in Morocco use the UIC loading gauge or the OSShD one? ----MountVic127 (talk) 01:08, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
