This article does not provide any reliable sources. The writing seems to be largely POV. Tājik 00:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually this article seems to rely very heavily on the recently published complete Diwan by Robert Sampson and Momin Khan. The first section of this nearly 900 page book contains the first really detailed research on the life and thought of the great poet. The few lines written by the one who edited the Wikipedia entry do not do justice to the sources they rely on.

Problem in the lead

edit

It seems there's an error in the lead: "popularly known as (Pashto: رحمان بابا) was called the Nightingale of Pakhtoonkhwa" should probably be "popularly known as the Nightingale of Pakhtoonkhwa (Pashto: رحمان بابا)" but I don't want to change it as I don't know Pashto and can't be sure that's the right correction. Could someone who reads Pashto fix this? Thanks. Mike Christie (talk) 00:25, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

English translation

edit

The "title page" (created with text and wiki markup) of the English translation of the Dewan, along with a grayscale version of the colored portrait do not seem to add to the value of the article (or should at least be reworked). Removed for now. SimAura (talk) 03:33, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
