Fallon is approximately 400 miles north of Hoover Dam. I seriously question the validity of the statement in this stub as to Ragtown's proximity to Fallon, or at least that a Ragtown at that distance supported the construction of the dam. LorenzoB 07:57, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The site of Ragtown near Fallon has nothing to do with the site of Ragtown near Hoover Dam. Same name, two entirely different locales. The Ragtown near Fallon was the first stop for emmigrants in the 1840's and 1850's, after crossing the 40-Mile Desert NW of present Day Fallon, NV. Legend has it that the site got it's name from the sight of clothes drying on the tree branches and bushes. The Carson River is near the site.
