"Said to be"
An issue of a Rag mag dating from 1923, called "Goblio", is said to be in the archives of the University of Southampton.
Said by whom? The university itself claims a copy from 1962 (MS 224/19) and from 1948-52 (MS 224/16) http://www.southampton.ac.uk/archives/cataloguedatabases/webguidemss224.page

Obnoxiousness edit
The article should really explain that most residents of student towns find rag weeks irritating and unwelcome. This has certainly been the case since the 70s, and the hostility may date back to long before then. It really just seems like an excuse for students to get drunk and draw attention to themselves, and while some money may be raised for charity, it isn't very much. --Ef80 (talk) 21:12, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
