Credits

It would be interesting to know who records the credits at the end of the shows. They sound like they're phoned in by regular folks. 216.107.222.222 06:50, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

If you listen closely, the people who read the credits usually identify themselves. They're always people who have been interviewed during that episode. -- Danny (talk) 15:16, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

They are indeed by those who have participated in the show. For example, check out the Falling episode where they identify themselves before reading the credits. Josephers (talk) 17:03, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

During the show, as soon as a guest starts talking, they are interrupted or cross-faded out, with one of the hosts replacing their words with a simplified version or what they're saying, often dumbed-down so much that it's not even accurate science any more. As an inadequate make-up for this, each guest is allowed to read one credit uninterrupted. Episodes prior to season 1

Why were only a small selection of the shows prior to season one listed? There are several more on the website that a user can listen to. Click on one of the ones listed and just keep hitting the "previous episode" button. You can scroll though 10 or 15 additional episodes. What is special about the ones chosen for the wikipedia entry? The end of Radiolab

The hosts were interviewed on a recent Leonard Lopate episode, and Lopate mentioned that Radiolab is in its second-to-last season. I can't find any other information about it online, but this should probably be added to the page.

RadioLab - current status?

This article is out of date. The lead claims that it is "currently" - note to wannabe editiors, don't use the word "currently" in an archival reference such as wikipedia - airing its 13th season. That statement is factually wrong - as of June 2016. I've taken a look at the article List of RadioLab Episodes" and that article is also a mess. It claims that shows airing in 2016 are part of the 2014-2015 season and does nothing to distinguish between re-broadcasts of past shows (mostly short segments from the past shows) and new content. I can't determine that any NEW content has been created/added in the past year or two, although editing and compilation of old content has been. I'd say at best the show is now sporadically rebroadcasting old content and at worst is no longer active. Certainly, something should be said about the change from original new content and the current re-edits, compilations and rebroadcasts of old shows.207.155.114.199 (talk) 16:11, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Just curious, but what are you basing this on? I've seen new content, and their website shows them as currently active. Same thing on iTunes Podcasts. Don't forget to assume good faith, calling users "wannabe (sic) editiors" isn't a good way to start. Garchy (talk) 18:27, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

User 207.155.114.199 is correct insofar as Radiolab's prior format of making a new hour-length show every 6 weeks with two "shorts" during the intervening time is not longer their release schedule. They are now tending toward producing half-hour long podcasts, which sporadically get lumped into hour-long episodes that fit NPR's allotted broadcast slot. User 207.155.114.199 is correct in pointing out the inefficiency of using words like currently" in Wikipedia's articles, though User 207.155.114.199's tone was, like the Radiolab article, "a mess." To User 207.155.114.199 and other "wannabe editiors" [sic], I can recommend two proactive courses of action:

1. Become a registered user on Wikipedia.

2. Fix these articles yourself.

Host change

The podcast retired one of their hosts this past month, Robert Krulwich meaning that the host list is now out of date. As I am new to editing pages I don't know what it should be to change it too so I will leave it to someone who know more of what their doing.
