This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance. Racism in Hungary is a notable phenomenon throughout the history and also during recent time. Notable anti-Semitic incidents took place in recent years and have been covered in the media. Please see the references in the article. Ignoring these facts does not invalidate them or make them less notable.

One or two of the above might be independent research or personal blogs but I've cited them as a starting point (especially hungarianspectrum blog, where many of the racists organizations are mentioned). There is plenty of coverage in the media about instigation and other events orchestrated by these organizations in Hungary as well as the neighboring countries. All articles start small. In time more information might or should be added.

- It is important, but the article does not immediately assert it's importance. [[1]] you have already covered Hungary, this page needs to assert why it is on here. The opening line "Jobbik, Hungary's third largest party defines itself as "radically patriotic", but has been described as racist and neo- fascist and having ties with illegal racist groups." doesn't to me, tell me why it should be there. Quoting from another racism related article, their opening line is "Racism and ethnic discrimination in the United States has been a major issue since the colonial era and the slave era." Source. I could start with the ending, then (I mean - maybe the article should start with the recent events - the anti-jews shouting, the anti-Roma TV reporter receiving a prize from the state... but please feel free to edit :) ). Regarding the larger Discrimination in Europe article - the problem is that Discrimination is one thing, Racism is another one. I did not want to merge the information about Racists organizations in Hungary in the larger Discrimination in Europe article, because it seemed to me that's not the place. Discrimination takes place when it's done by a ruling regime or ethnicity. On the other hand, Racism can exists without discrimination. Shouting about Jews, black people or Roam during a sport game is Racism but not Discrimination, in my humble opinion. -Paul- (talk) 12:52, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
One more thing - there are countries with one, maybe two extremist organizations, strongly condemned by the state and majority of the public opinion and mass media (and declared illegal). Also, most of them are of minor and/or local importance, without activity abroad. But in Hungary, they are:
- present in a notable larger number
- active abroad, authoring various events (from meetings to instigation or violent incidents)
- not properly sanctioned by the state, some of them not declared illegal, some of them declared illegal but still functioning

biased article edit
I do not deny the existence of racism in Hungary. But I do not like "generalization", after reading this article I would think everybody is racist in that country. Moreover, "The Guardian" or "Hungarian spectrum" are not really appropriate sources. It is all politics. They represent the opinion of the "left;wing", they are "left-wing" portals. We would need to cite "right-wing" or neutral sources as well. This article unfortunately looks like a soup-box, a sort of propaganda site. Compared to page of Racism_and_ethnic_discrimination_in_the_United_States this article is unbalanced and the “hair-raising views” published by the international press distort the real situation in Hungary.Fakirbakir (talk) 13:15, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
