Only private bank with AAA-rating untrue

I propose to remove the marketing speech of "only private bank with AAA-rating". This is non NPOV (see eg [1]). There will probably be other examples but even this one example makes the statement untrue. BFunk 09:35, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Actually the ZKB is NOT a private bank. [2] The bank is owned by the Canton and has financial guarantees from the Canton government. There are several other state backed banks that have a AAA or AAA+ (depending on the rating agency). As far as I am concerned the Rabobank is in fact the only privately held (i.e. not publicly tradable) bank with a AAA rating. Chelman 13:50, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Rabobank Group N.V.

The name of the mother-company of the Rabobank is the Rabobank Group N.V.. The structure given in the lemma is too simple. There are a lot of local Rabobanks in the Netherlands, which are coöperated in "Rabobank Nederland B.V." (not sure about B.V. it might be as well N.V.) This is a part of the Rabobank Group N.V., which includes as well the foreign banks. So the title of the lemma is not correct if you say that the Rabobank has offices all over the world. See also: the site of the Rabobank Group N.V., sometimes said as Rabogroup. IMHO there should be two lemma's, one about the Rabobank, the structure of these banks in the Netherlands, and a lemma about Rabobank Group NV, the mothercompany, which operates all over the world. I wonder whether at the time when they came up with the name, they were aware of the fact that "rabo" means "arse" in Portuguese?

"Het is tijd voor de Rabobank"

That nice little box at the top right of the article says Rabobank has no slogan. However, I remember hearing "Het is tijd voor de Rabobank" (it's time for Rabobank) very often - the Rabobank site also has the phrase at the bottom right on each page of their site. Raboplus is a marketing name, so should be in this article instead. Raboplus

I propose a name change for and an extension to this section. Raboplus only refers to a small part of online banking services provided by Rabobank. Direct Banking, Online Services or something similar seems a more appropriate name for this section. RaboPlus is a brand name, only used in Australia and New Zealand. Other direct banking activities are Rabodirect.ie, Rabobank.be, Internetbankieren and Bizner.SavannahD (talk) 22:45, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Rabodirect Ireland

There are statements in the section about Rabobank's intention to extricate itself from the Irish market. However, as I understand it, that applies to its ACC subsidiary in Ireland and not Rabodirect. Did Rabobank get bailouts?

Did Rabobank get bailouts from the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008? The following article might seem to indicate it didn't, but there must be more on the subject:
