Not appearing on any map

"Even though it still does not appear on any map". Wrong. It's on the CAA's aviation map, surrounded by a big HIRTA (High-Intensity Radio Transmissions Area). It's impossible to miss!BaseTurnComplete 20:42, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

The statement would have been true back in the 1980s as Mrs Thatcher had all MoD sites, such as RAF airfields, AWRE Aldermaston, etc., taken off of Ordnance Survey maps, as she thought they might be used for targeting the installations. This was more to do with an attempt to hinder political demonstrators from staging sit-ins at these sorts of places, than with making things difficult for the Soviets, who, presumably, just looked at their older maps of Britain when deciding where to aim any ICBMS.

Vigilamus

I do not know Latin, but I believe Vigilamus more accurately translates to "We stand guard". This would be consistent with the Canadian land forces motto, Vigilamus Pro Te meaning "We Stand on Guard for Thee". Old references to ICNIRP/NRPB field strength limits

The section mentioning UK and EU limits on radiation field strength appears to be based on Yorkshire CND website which in turn goes back to 2008 statements about the difference between ICNIRP and NRPB limits. There appears to be no independent citations which mention whether current UK legal requirements are relying on NRPB alone, nor whether these old and non-independent sources remain valid citations. 194.53.185.222 (talk) 17:13, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Agree the whole controversy section appears to be outdated, it should be mentioned that CND are not happy but slimmed down a bit with regard to due weight and the lack of recent activity. MilborneOne (talk) 17:39, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
