Date of construction

The article states that building took place from 1561 to 1563 and cites Faroqhi 2005 (without specifying a page number). Other sources don't agree with this date. Lane 2006 p75 writes that the mosque is known to have been completed by 1559. Atasoy & Raby 1989 discuss the date in Fn 11 to Chapter XX on page 376. "For conflicting views about the date of the construction of the Rustem Pasa mosque, Denny (1977), 227; cf Kuran (1987), 138. Dating is complicated by the fact that the Rustem Pasa mosque appears in Melchior Lorichs' panorama dated to 1559, yet there is a firman dated to ... Feb/Mar 1562 requesting permission for the trustee of Rustem Pasa's vakfto carry out the wishes of the late Grand Vizier to build a mosque at Tahtakale ...
