The last redirect was to Walden, with the edit summary "philistines!" apparently aimed at the initial redirect to an album. As the phrase occurs as a song title on two albums, I have made this a disambig page with 3 entries. It also occurs in a memorable phrase in Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd ("Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way"), but I'm giving my age away now!
