Definition and terminology edit

The definition "quaternion-Kahler manifold is a topological manifold which has three almost complex structures which are not covariantly constant" is very much wrong. In fact, none of known examples of compact quaternionic-Kaehler manifolds (  etc) admit an almost complex structure.

Also, quaternion-Kahler (arxiv.org: 30 instances) should be probably dropped in favour of more conventional quaternionic Kahler (arxiv.org: 73).

On the other hand, the term quaternionic Kahler is accepted, but quite misleading: these manifolds are NOT Kaehler. --Tiphareth 09:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I decided that Wikipedia might be used to set a good example. The "quaternionic Kahler" term is simply atrocious, so let's use one that's not accepted, but correct. --Tiphareth 16:50, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sp(n)Sp(1) edit
