I've done some research and have been unable to find any supporting citation for the current name given to this species. The Wikispecies page that relates to this moth can be found here and uses Pyroderces apparitella as does the The Global Lepidoptera Names Index. This is supported by Landcare Research New Zealand Ltd (the custodians of the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (NZAC)) in their New Zealand Organisms register see here as well as the book New Zealand Inventory of Biodiversity published in 2010. I've checked the Fauna of New Zealand publications as well as Google scholar and have been unable to find any supporting references for the name Anatrachyntis apparitella. Unless other editors object, I'm proposing that a request be made for this article be moved to the species name Pyroderces apparitella.--Ambrosia10 (talk) 19:02, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
