Golf Clubs edit

This page has been created from elements of golf club (equipment), based on a suggestion that that article was too long. The process of moving this information is not complete, and this page will require cleanup before it meets WP's standards. Also, in the process we have lost images from the source page that we will need to find replacements for. Images highlighting specific points made in the text are welcome. In this case, comparable images of a normal putter, belly putter and long putter and mallet and blade clubheads are welcome. Liko81 (talk · contribs) 00:24, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Photo edit

Since the article needs a photo badly, I stuck the one from golf club (equipment) up there. However, that picture may be confusing since there are more clubs than just the putter there. If someone has a different photo, please put it up. Thanks. Tavix (talk) 23:40, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I tried to insert one from the german wikipedia but it didn't work. i left it up for somebody else to try.User name one (talk) 20:22, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Chipper edit

According to the rules chippers are not putters because they have a loft above 10 degrees. Should chipper get its own article or is it an iron?username 1 (talk) 14:42, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Symmetric putters edit

The recent ruling on belly putters has reminded me of another controversy, from many years ago. Some golfers then were using symmetrical putters, which they swung between their legs like a croquet mallet, claiming it gave them more accuracy. Were these ruled illegal? or are they still in use?
