The name for this river article actually uses the secondary version approved by the USGS, using the French spelling. Those of us who grew up along the river, as well as Colorado maps and the USGS, more commonly use the English version, Purgatory River. 50.102.250.142 (talk) 20:05, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
