The article mentions subsisting on 50grams of porridge per day. Given that this is less than 450 calories per day (even if the porridge were 100% fat), that is not physically possible. One spends at least 1000 calories per day at absolute minimum and usually much more than that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.78.129.25 (talk) 12:39, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

This quote from a source was a bit out of context and misleading. I checked sources and explained it a bit more in detail. As I understood in some periods the prisoners were indeed given extremely small food rations and had to search for whatever edible plants they could find to survive. And thousands of prisoners died of starvation in this and other camps. -- Gamnamu (talk) 14:03, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Editors should consult WP:NPOV (WP:UNDUE and WP:BALASP, specifically). The longest section on this page is based on Kim Hye-sook, whose claims are unverified and likely will never be, practically speaking. I don't think these sorts of shenanigans would be tolerated on a page about the United States. 184.145.40.162 (talk) 13:44, 17 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
