How about holidays that directly affect work at the headquarters sites of the major EU institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg? It seems likely, though not certain, that the Belgian and French lists apply; if so, a definite statement would be appropriate, plus a list of any holidays celebrated only by EU HQs.

No, the Belgian and French lists don't apply. For example, you can find a list of the holidays at the Commission in 2008 here: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:52006XC0721(02):EN:NOT or here for 2009: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:52007XC0724(02):EN:NOT

Well, Belgium is mentioned here because the de facto capital of EU, Brussels, is situated in this country. Other countries are not particularly relevant for the list, so they don't need to be listed. -Vipz (talk) 23:16, 28 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
