Clean Up edit

Does anyone else think page needs a clean up? It looks really untidy... I'll try to get back to it after I'm not so busy with other stuff. Taipan198 12:53, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I realy do too also it needs more information. I am not the expert on Brown Snakes so does anyone?

Note that this article describes the Eastern Brown Snake as the sixth most venemous in Australia, but the main article on eastern browns describes them as the second. I'd fix this inconsistency if I knew better... 213.61.189.170 16:43, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Still needs a clean up edit

I think all this talk about "most venomous snake" is a load of hogwash, because it's not clear what is being discussed. Is it the probability of a bite containing venom? The surviveability of a bite victim? The potency of the venom? (As in lethal dose measurements, but even this has its problems.) Possibly it's just a measurement of hype; an extension of the general bad press that plagues snakes and other reptiles. I would prefer to see some info about ecology, reproductive biology, home ranges, behaviour, taxonomic relationships with other snakes, evolutionary history. If we're going to put in a section about being venomous, let's put some science into it, instead of the page three dramatics. (I will come back to this article later...)
