Taxonomy: For all marine species, Project Gastropods uses the taxonomy in the online database WoRMS. When starting a new article, do not use sources of taxonomic information that predate the 2017 revision for all gastropod groups ("Revised Classification, Nomenclator and Typification of Gastropod and Monoplacophoran Families" by Philippe Bouchet & Jean-Pierre Rocroi, Bernhard Hausdorf, Andrzej Kaim, Yasunori Kano, Alexander Nützel, Pavel Parkhaev, Michael Schrödl and Ellen E. Strong in Malacologia, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526.) (can be dowloaded at Researchgate.net), substituting the previous classification of 2005 Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Taxonomy out of date? edit

I believe the taxonomy of this article is out of date. However I haven't been able to get to the most recent publication to check see https://www.mapress.com/zt/article/view/zootaxa.4865.1.1. It appears from Mollusca base https://www.molluscabase.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=1486214 that the current name of this species is Athoracophorus papillatus (F. W. Hutton, 1879). If editors have access to the above publication could they check to see whether this article needs updating and moving? Ambrosia10 (talk) 19:15, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
