G1 Spychanger edit

That Spychanger Prowl wasn't part of universe - the sub-line was unnamed, with simply the "Transformers" logo on the card. The toy itself is mentioned under the RiD section of the page, as that's where the original Spychanger is mentioned.

Incorrect. The G1 commerative Spychangers were released on a "Transformers" card in vehicle mode at KB toy stores at first, then later on cards which say "Transformers: Universe" in robot mode at Dollar General and other chains in 2005. I have both versions. The toys are identical.

Changes edit

Blow by blow.

  • The dates in the section headings are unnecessary - they look clunky, and are mentioned in the main text anyway.
  • "G1 Prowl" is a more appropriate heading than simply "Generation One," as the overarcing section includes information from the Generation 2 Comics and the Alternator toy. In extension of that - the Alternator toy section should be PART of this section, because he IS G1 Prowl. The page was written arranged by CHARACTER, not chronological toy release, because that is the easiest way to read about the fiction, which is what the focus of the text is on.
  • The picture of Jetfire's rite of Autobrand may have Prowl in it, but it had nothing to do with him and adds nothing to the article.
  • That Universe tech spec is fanfic and has no place here.
  • The Universe Prowl tech spec is based on text off the back of the card he was packaged, in my own words to keep it non-copyright infringing, it's not fanfic, and it's a picture of the character mentioned in the text, so it's relivant. user talk:mathewignash
Then put that information in actual text form, not a goddamned image made in an sad attempt at fanwanking. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 01:41, 5 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Since added the picture anyways, I just put the text under it. Not a fanwank, a compilation of information. user talk:Mathewignash

RiD Prowl edit

Y'know, I just know Im going to regret asking this, but... Wankus? RiD Prowl's voice actor is called Wankus? Is that for real or is it a piece of vandalism that non-one caught?SMegatron 14:39, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I believe that's his stage name. user:mathewignash
Considering your vandalism with regards to the Universe tech spec, have you something to hide? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.104.34.212 (talk) 16:19, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
As I understand it Wankus is his stage name and the name he used on the show. I don't know why he chose that name, but that's the one the public knows. Apparently the only other thing he has done in the industry has been pornography, if IMDB is to be trusted. And if that is the case, then it at least explains why he has a stage name... --TriPredRavage (talk) 17:05, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Autobot logo s.jpg edit

Image:Autobot logo s.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Alternators/Binaltech/Beast Wars edit

I'm a little confused here. Why does the page state that the Transmetal II Owl Prowl is in fact the Alternators/Binaltech Prowl? I'm not against the idea of them being the same, I just don't see a connection and after reading the sections about Alternators/Binaltech and the sections regarding the Beast Wars, I am no farther in understanding. Can someone clarify? --TriPredRavage (talk) 03:37, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

According to the Binatech storyline the Prowl of that story is actually Chip Chase's mind transfered into a clone of Prowl's body. According to the Beast Wars Sourcebook the Beast Wars Lion Prowl is the original prowl, while the Beast Wars Owl prowl is ths former Alternator/Binaltech character. Mathewignash (talk) 07:56, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I understand that, but I also understand that Alternators/Binaltech is a splinter continuity. Meaning, it is an offshoot of the continuity. It doesn't lead to Beast Wars nescessarily as the Alternators/Binaltech continuity prevents the events of the movie, which we know for sure take place in leading up to Beast Wars. As far as I can tell, the connection between Alternators/Binaltech Prowl and TM2 Prowl is merely and completely speculatory.--TriPredRavage (talk) 08:07, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree with TriPredRavage. Beast Wars, in its entirety, is full of inaccuracies. So unless contested (especially if someone can give us proof that Alternators Prowl is indeed the Beast Wars character), all Alternators entries have been moved to the G1 section. - Areaseven (talk) 06:45, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
