Accreditation (or not) edit
This institution has been included in Category:Western Association of Schools and Colleges. As stated on WASC's website, the current accreditation status of PCC is 'Candidate'. The legend to the WASC Directory states that 'Candidate for Accreditation is a status of preliminary affiliation with the Commission, awarded to institutions for a limited period following a specified procedure for institutional self-study and on-site evaluation. Candidacy is subject to renewal. Candidacy is not accreditation and does not assure eventual accreditation.' As such, PCC cannot be considered accredited by WASC. As the category page for Category:Western Association of Schools and Colleges states that 'This is a category for schools accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges', I am removing the page from that category and placing it into Category:Unaccredited Christian universities and colleges, which seems the most appropriate category. - The state of the accreditation of this college has, presumably since December 2009, been updated. I was surprised by this dispute, so I followed Carminowe of Hendra's lead, and looked on the WASC Institutions list. Providence Christian College is now marked as 'accredited'. I note that the institution is already in Category:Schools accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and that Category:Western Association of Schools and Colleges no longer exists. Is there any disagreement to removing the POV dispute tag on the main article page? If there are no issues within a week or so, I will take this issue as closed and remove it myself. (side note: I am new here, so just let me know if I am doing anything wrong) Pilotairman (talk) 02:52, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
