"Immunoglobulin-binding protein"

This article links to Immunoglobulin-binding protein which redirects to Binding immunoglobulin protein. But is that correct? It seems like they're describing different things - the latter is about a specific protein created in humans, while this appears to be intended to be a generic term. Moreover, this article is the only thing that links to the the term, and the redirect pre-dates it. Perhaps the redirect should be replaced with a description of what this article means by the term. You are bringing out a very good point. Immunoglobulin-binding protein is a generic name for binding immunoglobulin protein (BiP, recommended name heat shock 70 kDa protein 5, and official symbol HSPA5), immunoglobulin-binding protein 1 (IGBP1), protein A, and protein G. Because they all bind Igs. The redirect, as you noticed, is not exactly accurate. I'll try to fix the problem. Chhandama (talk) 06:13, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
