One glaring omission edit
Lviv in 1868 was within the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Omitting that key fact leaves a grossly misleading impression that Prosvita's advocacy was indigenous to the Russian Ukraine. Austria-Hungary's fostering a Ukrainian sense of national identity was a matter of inter-imperial rivalry with Russia and reached its peak after the outbreak of the First World War.
