The 3rd paragraph contains unencyclopedic content and is quite NPOV. Not sure how to edit it to keep the facts contained within, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.64.232.42 (talkcontribs)

Changes edit

I have cleared up the whole text, adding a few new sections and a summary of most common critical remarks, as they are heard in the press and in the academic articles.

I urge anyone interested in this subject to look at the legislative observatory (EU Parliament) and compare the original text with the subsequent amendments. It is astonishing how many amendments have passed and how truly appalling the original text is. --As286 10:22, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Neutrality edit

Sentences like "By rather wide academic, business and consumer consensus, IPRED2 is badly drafted." appear to be blatant neutrality violations. Please cite your sources. "All Wikipedia articles must be written from a neutral point of view, representing views fairly, proportionately and without bias." Thanks. --Edcolins 19:58, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Offending statements removed. Sources added. Some sentences rephrased--As286 21:56, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Withdrawn? edit

According to http://www.europarl.europa.eu/oeil/file.jsp?id=5263692, the directive has been withdrawn?

"As announced in Official Journal C 252 of 18 September 2010, the Commission decided to withdraw this proposal, which had become obsolete." 78.72.181.116 (talk) 16:19, 24 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
