Toilet ballcock is not an example of proportional control edit

The ballcock feedback mechanism (to maintain water level in a toilet tank) is not "proportional," because it is highly non-linear, with hysteresis. NCdave (talk) 23:50, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Reply


It is one, - with a high gain. Short before the maximum level is reached, the valve closes proportionally. If it would not be controlled, it would roughly shut the valve and that would be very noisy. Regelklaus (talk) 12:51, 6 December 2017 (UTC)RegelklausReply
