Lede

• The lede is noticeably very short, it should be expanded. An article of this side should have 2-3 paragraphs per MOS:LEADLENGTH
• The link in the boldface should be removed MOS:BOLDLINKAVOID
• middle stages of Francisco Franco's are stages of Franco's rule defined concepts? Otherwise middle of Francisco Franco's rule is sufficient.
• Although the project never developed a nuclear weapon due to being ended prematurely essentially dupes The project was cancelled due to American pressures in 1981; these sentences can be merged.

3b of the good article criteria requires it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style). The background section contains over 1/3 of the body text, which is far too much. It also doesn't cover all the questions that should be answered: just reading the first sentence: By 1948, Spain possessed the largest uranium deposits in the world after France the reader is still being dropped in. The article will need a significant rewrite to make sure the background section is not too detailed. Beyond trimming excess details, some excellent ways to trim down content can be found in the Wikiproject Military History for wordy sentences.

I'll give you some time to address these issues, and if they're okay we can continue from there. If they're not, we can bring this out of the GA queue and you can have some time to work on getting it up to passing 3b. If you need any help just ask. DvcDeBlvngis I've had a look over the article again, while a lot is being edited. I understand this article was translated from Spanish, which is okay, but I can see that the section "The Spanish autarky" says for further information to see the disambiguation page for Spanish Question. Mistakes happen, but it is very unusual to see this in a Further information subsection.

I have then looked over some of the writing in the first paragraph of "End": It uses very unencyclopedic language such as "In addition, the already nervous United States became obsessed with the IAEA", the source for the first sentence doesn't mention Spain and appears to be WP:SYNTH, and large swathes are sourced to one or two references. I checked some claims in "However, this decision did not yet mean the definitive end of Project Islero... bringing an official end to the project" and could not find the claims being made, meaning of the brief source survey, they all failed.

• The stages of Franco's rule are generally defined as the First Francoism, the Second Francoism, and Late Francoism; the program was undertaken in the second, and this has been clarified.

As well, I have begun trimming some of the fat in the beginning, while trying to answer more of the pertinent questions.

Yes. I erroneously forgot to re-cite the source in that exact line, but it is from the paper by Dr. Roberto Muñoz Bolaños[1]:

De hecho, el partido gobernante entonces, la Unión del Centro Democrático (UCD) siempre lo defendió hasta el extremo de que el 5 de febrero de 1986, el último presidente del Gobierno perteneciente a este partido, Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo –un atlantista convencido y que había incorporado a España a la OTAN–, citó un fragmento de un documento titulado “La seguridad en Europa”, redactado por el Partido Socialista francés en el que se planteaba la existencia de una tercera potencia nuclear europea para que Europa Occidental pudiera defenderse por su cuenta sin tener que recurrir a Estados Unidos para todo.

Thankyou for linking this. It is 1) not generally a RS, per WP:RESEARCHGATE, and the paper appears to have undergone no editorial oversight. 2), the claim that it was not the end appears at odds with the two sources you had listed at the end of this, which have now been deleted. This is giving this paper WP:UNDUE weight.

I can see you are making large changes to the page as I write this, and can see that it was nominated tagged as requiring a citation, so these are not unknown issues. For these reasons and those discussed above, I'll take this page out of WP:GAN, and I hope to see it soon when it has had the changes made that it needs, particularly, and very importantly, in ensuring text avoids synthesis and is supported by inline citations.
