My Edits edit

I removed the italics and referenced the paragraph to the Catholic Encyclopaedia instead, in order to improve readability. Hey jude, don't let me down 16:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Picture edit

Could we get a picture, perhaps? There's a detailed description, but no picture. Snowboardpunk 21:04, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Picture available edit

Both my Grandmother and my Grandfather received the award Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice in 1953, 1955 respectively. I am willing to have a picture of the award as well as the document made available for Wikipedia. The only thing is, I have no idea, how to upload the pictures to the corresponing article. Can anyone help? Khs2007 18:52, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, that would be an excellent addition to the article indeed! If you look to the left of the screen, below the search box, there is a section with the heading "toolbox" - one of the links you can click is "Upload file". If you click there and follow the instructions, you should find it reasonably straightforward to upload the file. Robotforaday 03:54, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have uploaded one picture of the award "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice". I will upload also the backside of the award as well as the document. What I would like to know is : how do I link these pictures to the corresponding article? Khs2007 (talk) 11:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

To add the picture to the article, copy and paste in the following, substituting the bits I've put iin block capitals with the name of the image and a caption for it (the bit which says "right" sets it to appear on the right, and the "300px" is the pixel size of the image, so you might want to preview the page and tinker around with those too.

Good luck, and thanks very much for what you're doing - it will be very useful and prompt further additions, I think. Robotforaday (talk) 12:38, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
As the images had been uploaded but not added, I have taken the liberty of adding them to the article myself; however, I don't think the current layout of the images in the article is as good as it could be, so if anybody wants to fiddle about with them, feel free. Description doesn't match pictures edit

This article has a description of the obverse and reverse taken from the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia, and pictures of the obverse of an old medal and also a medal given by John Paul II.

These don't match. The shape of the two pictured medals are different. Also, it seems strange that the reverse would have the date "pridie kal[endas] januar[ii] 1888" on it -- could this perhaps be the date of the medals given in 1888, rather than today? — Lawrence King (talk) 19:00, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I added a section on the current medal with a ref and filled in the other details from looking at the picture. It would be useful to find out what the second version of the medal look like. Cheers. EricSerge (talk) 00:58, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
