Shouldn't it be "Private equity in the 2000s", because I don't think this article will tell how private equity will be in 2087, does it? --bender235 (talk) 15:06, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Plagiarized content

First, I saw that this entire section, Bursting the Internet Bubble and the private equity crash (2000–2003), was lifted from a self-published book that I added. I also labeled it for a better source. Then, I saw both that section of content and the one that follows are published in "Venture Capital - The Indian Scenario", a work by Dr. A. Amruth Prasad Reddy and Dr. M. Venkata Subbaiah, published by a "Department of Management Studies and Research Report submitted by: Tirpude College of Social Work" http://docshare01.docshare.tips/files/5908/59087761.pdf. I guess it should all be deleted, but I don't think I have the expertise to properly rewrite this article. The plagiarized content looks to have been added from the start of the article, 10 years ago, by a long-term user https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Private_equity_in_the_2000s&diff=957622349&oldid=228862129#Bursting_the_Internet_Bubble_and_the_private_equity_crash_(2000%E2%80%932003) now on hiatus. I am going to take exception to this. Please note that the paper you cited was not published in 2006 it was published in June 2016. And while I have no interest in causing issues for the authors of the paper (Who cited Wikipedia as a source in their Bibliography) it was my original text that was the ORIGINAL text and it was the paper you cited that is plagiarizing my writing. The report cites Wikipedia, so it's just a source that has reprinted a paragraph from Wikipedia, probably a 2006 version of the History section of the Private Equity article. 213.98.143.214 (talk) 22:39, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
