Hereditary Princess of Monaco, 1919-1944?

edit

Wouldn't she have been Hereditary Princess of Monaco from 1922-44? Her father (Louis II) didn't succeed to the throne until 1922. From 1889-1922 Louis was Hereditary Prince (during his father Albert I's reign) GoodDay 23:48, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

She was. But she wasn't addressed as such. Just "HSñ The Princess Charlotte". 24.14.120.92 06:56, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Confusing

edit

…even before he succeeded his father as Prince Louis II the principality sought to forestall a succession crisis, anticipating that its neighbor, the Republic of France, might take it amiss if the throne fell someday to Louis's legal next of kin.

Don’t you mean someone who was not legal next of kin? Valetude (talk) 11:30, 6 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
