Talk:Prince of Wales Secondary School

I found this page interesting, but I had to read it twice in places. Rhapsody ... whats that ...Oh a yearbook title! Prince of Wales ... oh yes Camilla's husband ... no this school was founded in 1920.. It could use some pics. Some peer editting and the addition of references should get this a B. Female PM gets you a high... but 80 years and only three alumni? Hope you find this useful. Victuallers 12:38, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Uhh. It's not that hard to know what Rhapsody is, considering it's in the section marked Yearbook. Also, it's quite obvious that this school is not related to the Prince of Wales, but it actually is just a secondary school. No need to reread it. And pictures of what? It's a school for christ sakes. It has a picture of the entrance, and that is basically the only important thing in the school. Also, to the Alumni comment: It's important Alumni. There were many alumni, but not many of them became really important. It wasn't useful at all. --Aremith Talk 04:00, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am taking the opportunity to re-assess the article, and I am keeping the same ratings for now. Many sections need expansion, the lead for example should summarise the article and is too short at present. I would have thought history could be expanded as well. The article really lacks references, which is probably its biggest weakness. Some of the more trivial information should also be removed per WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI. I think the high-importance rating needs reviewing as I am not convinced of it, I will probably say this is more mid-importance. I will bring this up with Victuallers later. Oh, first female prime minister, how did I miss that? Yes that is probably just enough for high importance. Camaron · Christopher · talk 11:51, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Most schools will have an importance rating of "low", per the WPSCHOOLS notes about the importance rating, so I have changed it accordingly. A rating of "mid" could be acceptable, but I don't think so based on the list shown in the article today. PKT(alk) 13:44, 22 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo princewhale.gif edit

Image:Logo princewhale.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I tried to update this page and was told I was a vandal. edit

The school has not had a Bridge program for over 5 years. Mr. Kanavos stopped being Acting Vice Principal in December 2009. The new VP is Karen Coflin as of January 2010. Please check out the info before you insist it is vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jemoon (talkcontribs) 05:20, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, I made changes that reflect this. Hopefully they aren't reverted as "vandalism". Also, I know for a fact that Mr. Bailey is no longer principal, but I can't find a solid mention of his replacement yet. --Krzyglue (talk) 18:42, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
