Warlord

I've removed Phobos from the Warlord category on the grounds that he is a Prince ruling over an entire kingdom. A warlord is purely a military ruler (Phobos rules by blood line) who rules over part of a country, rather than a whole one.

I've also removed him from the Genius category. Phobos is cunning, but his plans are too shallow to be genius level, and I doubt that he could do a difficult crossword, let alone device something other than a military strategy.

I suppose you're right about the warlord thing. I added him to that category after seeing the episode "X is for Xanadu" in which his conquest of Meridian is very warlord-ish. I didn't add him to the Fictional evil geniuses category though I think that's one that applies to him as he is a genius in military tactics even if his plans aren't always as complex as Nerissa's. His arrogance and impulsiveness often blind him to certain details that a more attentive individual could notice but I think he is definately smart.

Murder his parents?

Did Phobos murder his parents? It has been implied he has in the comic book, as he is known to have ursurped the throne, conquered Meridian, and his parents are now shown to be deceased.

I think we should put in that it is implied that he murdered his parents.

Age inconsistencies

I am confused about how old he is becuase there have been many different factors saying it for example

1) in the comic books it says that the veil was raised thousands of years ago, which was raised because of the threat of phobos, hence he is thousands of years old in the comic book (i do not read the comic books so there may be other things against that)

although it may be considered that it isnt consistent with the television show, because there were other changes (such as yan lins death) there is also

2) The oracle said that the veil was raised 13 years ago because of the threat of phobos, so it can be assumed that his parents were alive during the time before that thirteen years and had the throne

3) during a flashback where yan lin was describing zamballa to the new guardians, she says that they were protecting zamballa from phobos, yet she is now at least in her sixties, and the flashback clearly showed her when she was 16 years old, it would have occured at least 30 years ago, yet the oracle said that the veil was raised only 13 years ago

also, she mentions that kadma could not return to the rest of the guardians because she was trapped on zamballa when the veil was erected, however there seems to be at least 20 years between the raising and her becoming queen

if anyone had any explanations about it would be appreciated

1) Neither do I read any of the comic books so I can't answer you in this case.

2) Phobos' parents had to live before he siezed the throne because Elyon was born 13 years ago and she couldn't have been born without her (and Phobos') parents. No one knows what exactly happened to their parents but it's possible that Phobos had killed them, after he took the throne, the Veil was raised and afterwards Galgheita saved Elyon and brought her on Earth.

3) You forget when a Guardian is in her Guardian form she always looks 16 years old. I think when Phobos attacked Zamballa the Council and the Oracle realised that Phobos means a great threat and after Yan Lin, Kadma and Halinor saved Zamballa from Phobos, the Council decided to raise the Veil. But before this Kadma decided to remain on Zamballa and Halinor joined the Council, then they raised the Veil and Kadma trapped on Zamballa.

Psychopathy

You probably think I'm incredibly sad for noticing this but Phobos appears to embody many of the traits of classical psychopathy. To name but a few, superficial charm (he was able to be charming to Elyon), above average intelligence (he has a good head for complex evil schemes and such like), pathological egocentricity (he does seem to think highly of himself and Cedric actually refers to him as a "vainglorious fool" at one pont), incapacity to love (he doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself), untruthfulness and insincerity (he decieved Elyon and broke the vow he swore on the Heart of Candracar that time), lack of remorse and shame (he never exhibits guilt for his villainous actions, actually seeming to enjoy them), a parasitic lifestyle (draining people and planets of their life-force to increase his own power certainly seems to count as parasitic) and absence of delusions and any other signs of irrational thinking. Then again psychopaths rarely carry out suicide threats which Phobos as good as did throwing himself from the top of the Oracle's temple. Also psychopaths exhibit general poverty in major effective reactions and Phobos, whilst usually appearing calm does have a fiery temper. There is a corrolation between psychopathy and narcissistic personality disorder which Phobos also exhibits traits consistant with but I won't go into that now. I've already installed him into the category of fictional characters with mental illness but I was thinking I should add a note on his apparent psychopathy in the personality section.
