Early life
  • "... spending eight months over 1668–69 in France". What does "over 1668–69" mean?
  • Should be "in", I think.
  • "As a Protestant, George was considered a suitable partner for the niece of King Charles II of England, The Lady Anne". Her name certainly wasn't "The Lady Anne".
  • Are you saying it should be "Anne"? DrKiernan (talk) 07:40, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I was suggesting "the Lady Anne", but of course we must bow to what the sources say. Malleus Fatuorum 14:15, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • "Both Denmark and Britain were Protestant countries, and Louis XIV was also keen on an Anglo-Danish alliance". What's that "also" doing there?
  • Removed.
Marriage
  • "He was made a Knight of the Garter on 1 January 1684,[10] and King Charles gave them a set of buildings in the Palace of Whitehall".
  • I think we just cut the Garter, so to speak, as it's repeated in the "Honours" section.
Issue
  • The table looks rather strange with the variable number of columns to the left. Might it be better to centre the birth/death dates where they are the same?
  • Just learned how to do that!
Sources
  • There are 100 citations, most of them rather short. Any reason not to use columns here?
  • No, just an oversight. I usually edit in Explorer so I don't see columns.
  • Thank you very much for the review, and the copy-edit. DrKiernan (talk) 18:48, 23 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
