Settlers/emigrants edit

@Michael Bednarek: what was inappropriate about the two categories that you removed? The settlers were settlers in South Australia, and they were Germans, more or less. The other changes make sense, but those two I am curious about. Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 02:45, 11 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

The subject of this article is the ship, not the passengers on 2 of its many voyages. There is Category:Convict ships, but there's no Category:Migrant ships. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:02, 11 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Michael Bednarek: I really don't see your point. That there is no category for migrant ships is irrelevant, though I would urge you to make up the defficiency. The phenomenon of the German settlers includes the company that brought them out, the vessels they came on, the towns they founded, etc. The point of categories is to spur curiosity, not stop it. The point is that the categories Category:German emigrants to Australia and Category:Settlers of South Australia are for emigrants and settlers, not for articles that are related to emigration and settlement. Your placement of Bengalee (ship) into those categories is equally misleading. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:08, 11 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
