Proposed page move

I propose moving Pretty Polly Stakes (Ireland) to Pretty Polly Stakes, with a tag at the top regarding the PP Stakes (Great Britain). The British one is merely a Listed race, while the Irish one is the real deal and a Group One race. Comments are welcome. Regards Billsmith60 (talk) 14:23, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

Support a move. Pretty Polly Stakes is currently a disambiguation page for the two races, so the move will need a page swap - I can do this, but it needs consensus here first. I agree that the Irish race is much more significant in racing terms, although looking at pageviews they are fairly similar except for a spike in views around the time that each race is run. Comment. I reverted the page move. A proposed page move should use the WP:RM process and the proposer should avoid closing the consultation. You also need to have regard to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and the page view data [1] which does not support a primary topic (in my view). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:44, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

I agree with Bcp67. The page views are indicative of a larger audience in Great Britain looking at the British page, but this discussion makes clear that the Irish race is much more significant - a Group One - the highest in racing and vital for breeding purposes, too Billsmith60 (talk) 13:33, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
