I've reverted these edits, which remove what appears to be sourced content. If there is something wrong with the material please explain it on the talk page.--Cúchullain t/c 13:44, 21 November 2013 (UTC) Preston University is contributing its efforts toward promoting the education in Pakistan, but propaganda against its system, is a bigger issue, which is not recognizing its contribution — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.152.191.139 (talk) 02:46, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Removal of previous talks

edit

Please clarify why all the previous talks have been removed. I would like them to be re-instated. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.226.253.63 (talk) 06:14, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

See WP:ARCHIVE for more information. This talk page was at 80k+ in size and had a lot of redundant discussion. The prior discussions are available on the archive page. Click the link to see or use the search function to find particular topics. – S. Rich (talk) 06:23, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is a simple reason why the talks had been removed. These talks were bluntly showing the one sided editing characteristics of various editors who were adamant to portrait the University in a negative light as these guys are strong proponents of the "accreditation system in the US" however dubious that could be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.136.236.143 (talk) 14:44, 23 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to merge Preston University (Pakistan)

edit

Does anyone object to Preston University (Pakistan) being merged into this article? Both of these organizations shared the same name, logo, and leadership. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 17:00, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Oppose, on the ground that each is distinctly notable; the Pakistan institution as the site of origin and current going concern; the US article is notable for its controversial history. Klbrain (talk) 22:32, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Klbrain, please explain how these "two" organizations are not actually one organization when they share the same name, logo, and leadership. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 23:23, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@DrFleischman:It's not unusual for Universities to have international branch campuses, some of which are sufficiently distinct that they have separate pages, even when control/regulation vests in the lead institution. So, for example, we have Weill Cornell Medicine and Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar; or Northwestern University and Northwestern University in Qatar. Having a look at the history of the two pages, the US one seems the minor party, but has a distinctly controversial history, which may be independently notable. I don't feel strongly on this point, but am merely expressing a view that the case isn't straightforward. Klbrain (talk) 00:25, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
