Byzantine Rite Catholics

edit

Many Catholics that are members of the Sui Iuris Churches of the Byzantine Rite also use the prayer rope as a form of devotion. This article makes it seem like it is a solely Eastern Orthodox tradition Adam (talk) 05:24, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Prayer rope. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

How helpful is the list of ten translations? —Tamfang (talk) 22:54, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

You are correct! And I note that many Orthodox/Byzantine Rite articles likewise have what you are complaining of.
The Manual of Style agrees with you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#Usage_in_first_sentence
And I note that it suggests, "Consider footnoting foreign-language names if they would otherwise clutter the first sentence."
Therefore, I will proceed to do that. Vincent J. Lipsio (talk) Vincent J. Lipsio (talk) 17:13, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
