[1] Swedish is my native language and "Potatis Korv" looks weird. First of all, titles or names of things usually only have the first letter capitalized. For example, "Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia" is translated into "Wikipedia - Den fria encyklopedin". Also, when combining words to give them a new meaning there are often no spaces. The name rather unknown in Sweden - Värmlandskorv is the synonym edit

I'm swedish and I've never heard of this word, and it doesn't even have an entry in the swedish wiki, so it seems a bit strange that it has one here. --81.101.44.116 (talk) 17:03, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I've also never heard of it. However, when googling Swedish websites, I did get 3,950 hits (which isn't much - there are 7,600 hits for "potatis korv" on English language websites). According to an article in Dagens Nyheter from 8 December 2001, it's the same thing as the sausage from Värmland that is commonly known as Värmlandskorv. This is also supported by the article in Swedish Wikipedia about Värmlandskorv, which states that the sausage is called "potatiskorv" in parts of Värmland. There are also several other Swedish websites which link "popatiskorv" to Värmland, although it seems that "potatiskorv" was also made in Småland, according to this article in Gefle Dagblad from 19 September 2010. But that recipe doesn't mention beef as an ingredients, while all the Värmlandskorv recipes do, just as this English article about "potatiskorv". So everything indicates that we're talking about Värmlandskorv here, and I'll make a link to that article in Swedish Wikipedia. Thomas Blomberg (talk) 12:47, 29 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fractions in Ingredient List? edit

"3/4 lb onions per each lb of meat" and "3/4 scant tsp pepper per pound of meat" are confusing or misleading or maybe just wrong. They look like fractions, but the recipe does not call for 3/4 as much onion as meat, but less than 4 pounds of onion for 15 pounds of meat. Maybe you merely want "3 or 4 lb onion" with no reference to the amount of meat. Or maybe (based on the recipe) you mean "3 or 4 ounces'" (or "from 3 to 4 ounces") of onion per lb of meat. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.198.131.49 (talk) 19:35, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
