Untitled edit

Note that the title change sections are separate, however they were both posted on the talk pages of the two predecessor articles before the merge.

Summary edit

  • This article needs to have two headings: at top, For previous history, see... And at bottom, For later history, see...

No doubt these connections are in the works. --Wetman 06:10, 16 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Title change (1279–1415) edit

In order to simplify all Portuguese historic periods I've changed this article's name to a more simple and easy to fit within any article. This is part of a work to improve all History of Portugal-related articles. If you have anything against please say it in my talk page. Thank you. Gameiro 18:40, 28 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

In 1290 he founded the University of Coimbra.

Mistake! It was Lisbon, then moved to Coimbra in 1308. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.243.229.72 (talk) 13:07, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Afonso/Alfonso/Alphonso... edit

I don't understand if there is or ther isn't a standardised use of the name. May I suggest Afonso for Portuguese kings and Alfonso for Leonese/Castillian kings? --Ourique1139 13:53, 23 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merging edit

For a history before May 2015, see the article histories of History of Portugal (1279–1415) and History of Portugal (1139–1279) for the two separate articles before. I recently redirected both articles to the Middle Ages article and will now merge the talk pages. MB298 (talk) 00:36, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
