Portrayal of women in film noirPortrayal of women in film – This is specific to a single film genre, but could make an interesting topic if expanded to the wider film industry. Wikipedia is greatly lacking on the subject of portrayal in cinema — just have a look in Category:Cultural depictions of women. There is a lot of discussion in the wider world and time for Wikipedia to catch up. Cnbrb (talk) 08:51, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - This is less of a move proposal and more of an article request. With its current content, it doesn't make sense to move it. I think that you should make the other article separately as a draft first, and if and when it's created, this article can be redirected to it.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 10:54, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
OK, so where do I post an article request? Cnbrb (talk) 11:49, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia:Requested articles/Arts and entertainment/Film, radio and television, if you don't plan on making the article yourself.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 12:36, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
OK that's helpful, thanks. I withdraw the move proposal in that case. Cnbrb (talk) 13:25, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Re-write the article edit

The article seems to be a cut and paste of a sociology paper and the tone seems inconsistent with the standard of Wikipedia. Short direct statements with unsubstantiated sources or quotes taken from direct sources (in this case movies) that are included as part of the article with bad structure. The content of the article could be good but reading it, it sounds like it's written for someones high school homework. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pi patrol (talkcontribs) 10:25, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
