Porcupine Freedom Festival edit

Work with me here, Spinningspark -- the Porcupine Freedom Festival and Porcupine logo are legit. If you don't like how I worded something, help fix it, don't just delete. I'd like help including the image of the logo on the page, but not familiar with how to do that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StarchildSF (talkcontribs) 08:49, 23 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I don't doubt that they are real things, but I think you have misunderstood the purpose of disambiguation pages. This page is to distinguish between things called porcupine and quickly direct readers to the article they are looking for. Neither of the entries you added are called porcupine. Our disambiguation guidelines explicitly proscribe adding partial title matches like Porcupine Freedom Festival. So unless the festival is commonly called porcupine (the article says it is called porcfest, but if it is called porcupine, please show me an example of where it has been so called and I might change my mind) it has no place on the dab page. Porcupine (logo) is never going to be an article, any more than Elephant (logo) is, so also has no place on a dab page either. It might if, if the blue-linked article discussed that subject, but it is quite unlikely that a general discussion of logos would belong in Libertarian Party of the United States. A porcupine on a logo is still just a porcupine. The usual compromise we make in such cases is to add All pages with titles beginning with porcupine to the see also section.
